Who do you trust is an important question that we each need to understand how to answer. I think there needs to be some clear guidelines that we establish for ourselves and then trust those guidelines!
I want you to trust me. I am asking for your trust and so I understand that requires some things on my part.
As we build relationships with others trust is either developed or red flags indicate that trust may not be the wisest thing. Now I do accept that no one is perfect, me included, and we will all make mistakes, but I am talking about getting to know someone's heart and motives.
That may seem more challenging today because of the high tech world we live in. However, I think in some ways the transparency that comes with all of our technology makes it easier.
I can't say one thing on Facebook, another on Twitter and yet another somewhere else and not expect someone to at least notice and/or call me on the carpet.
So the picture here is to show you that I try hard to practice what I preach. I often tell people to whittle down what you buy. Find companies and people that you feel good about and who's products you like, and simply buy and use those! Stop being marketed to by every new thing that comes along.
My daughters are in their 30s and they aren't really on Facebook. So, I asked them what they do on-line and they confirmed this whole trust thing for me. They both said that because they are pretty private, (not sure where they get that!!) they really only use the internet for searching and following. As soon as someone or a product proves itself to them, they make a purchasing decision.
So this picture is my bathroom cabinet. I truly is all of the personal care items I use in the morning to get ready for my day. I have whittled it down to these few things, and I am quite happy with this small selection. (They are also in the order that I use them, which also makes me happy! It's the little things.)
The second picture are the few things I use at night. Again, a few things that I have researched about and have decided to buy because of the integrity of the company and because I like the way these products work for me.
The click top container is coconut oil and the mini spray bottle is witch hazel. This is conveniently located next to my side of the bed so that I have no excuse for not taking off my make-up at night.
I am just sharing this with you to give you a little peek into my world of trying to use the minimum and the best. I really encourage you to do the same. Make a list of the things essential for you and your family to care for yourselves. Then do your homework to find the best in each category that fits your budget.
A few of my recommendations would be;
Personal care items like moisturizers, cleansers and make-up from 100% Pure. They also carry shampoos, conditioners and soaps. We actually have a brick and mortar store in our local mall. If you don't, it is available on-line.
My favorite skin serum is from Touchstone Essentials. Skin Trial Super Serum available through our shop button above.
Witch hazel is a natural and very inexpensive toner available at most drug stores.
I use hairspray. I know, I know, I haven't tried the sugar water spray yet. So the one I currently use is from DermOrganic because it has eco friendly polymers.
The deodorant you see is actually pretty cool because it contains zeolite!! Zeolite is an amazing inert detox mineral that you will hear much more about later. :)
So, I hope you can see that I really am trying to practice what I preach. I am also somewhat of an expert on my items because I have personally tested a ton!! I have wasted quite a bit of money doing so, so that you don't have to!!
Thanks for stopping in and peeking into my personal cabinet and drawer. Please feel free to leave a comment or question about any of the items here or to tell me about some of your favorites!
Have a happy health-filled day!
