The other day, I mentioned a few tasks I needed to accomplish. They weren't things I really wanted to do, simply things I needed to do. One of those tasks was re-filling my hummingbird feeder. The attached video will show you why this is so important!!
I marvel at these tiny creatures!! They are small and seemingly vulnerable but man oh man are they ever strong and resilient!! They nest in the giant evergreen trees that are all around our property. They protect themselves from predators mostly with their speed. They fly into the wind and often against the wind. They know where to go to get what they need. They really inspire me!!!
I guess my message from the hummingbirds is, do I know how to rest properly? Do I know how to protect myself from predators? Do I know how to fly into the wind and against it when necessary? Do I know where to go to get what I need? And, do you?
Rest and restoration are vital to our health and well being. My greatest predator is myself. Flying with the wind gives me strength for the time I need to fly against it. If I pay attention God always shows me where to go to get what I need.
I know that the place for me to be my best is in the Health and Wellness world! My passion is to help others navigate through this sometimes harsh and scary world, where lies seem more available than truth!
Let's be like the hummingbirds above and go for what we need!!!!

Truly-Healthy Parmesan Artichoke Dip
1 can of artichoke hearts-drained and chopped
¼ cup Parmesan cheese (see below for dairy free sub)
¼ cup Veganaise mayo
dash of salt and pepper
Combine all ingredients and bake in 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes
¼ cup raw almonds
1/3 cup nutritional yeast
Pulse till crumbly
Store in spice type container in fridge for up to 6 months
