Are you leading or being led? This is question I ask myself often. Both are good and necessary for different times in life. Because my husband and I are in relationship marketing and because of our positioning in our company, we are considered leaders. That being so, we have great need to continue to be led as well! Isn't this true for everyone - always? We learn things (are led) and we share them (we lead). For many years I spent the bulk of my time sick in bed. Because of my driven kind of personality, I couldn't just lie there; I still felt compelled to be doing something. So, I read, studied, researched, and listened to tons and tons of experts in health and wellness. What emerged from those seemingly dark years was a great desire to attain better health for myself (I was led), but also a burning desire to share better health with others (I wanted to lead). This really is what life and business are all about. For instance, I learned that cilantro is an excellent food for detoxing. So, we incorporated cilantro into our daily diet. OK, not really daily. (My husband doesn't love cilantro like I do so I had to hide it in his green drink.) Even so, I began sharing the amazing recipe we came up with for using cilantro to help detox and people really appreciated it. (You will find this recipe at the end of this post :) Bottom line, I was led to try it and I now lead others to try it. Guess what? That's network/relationship marketing! And this is exactly what we are doing with Touchstone Essentials and how we are able to be successful at it. We were led to understand the power of detoxing with Pure Body and Pure Body Extra Strength. We were also led to understand the importance of supplementing with truly pure, whole-food supplements. And we were led to understand how vital it is to keep our skin as healthy as possible. With all of this knowledge and understanding, we are compelled to lead others to this same understanding. So, as we are led, we lead, and SO CAN YOU! If you are willing to be led in order to lead, you can be a leader, too! Here's the recipe I promised: (If you use a few frozen items there is no need for ice. )
1 celery stick 2 Tbsp lemon juice 1 Tbsp Chia seeds 1 frozen banana 1 Tbsp spirulina ½ cup of frozen berries ½ cup fresh parsley ½ cup fresh cilantro 1 leaf chard or kale (I hate kale) 1 leaf collard greens 1 leaf mustard greens ½ cucumber 1 Tbsp hemp seeds 1 Tbsp ground flax-seed We process all of this in a Nutra-Bullet and it really pulverizes everything. So you can keep the peelings and seeds with all ingredients. Kale is amazing, we just don't like it. 9That doesn't make us bad people, lol!) We also don't use spinach because I am fighting advanced osteoporosis and (many people don't know it) spinach is not good for osteoporosis. The metabolic process actually leaches some calcium from bones. You can certainly adjust this recipe to taste. In whatever greens you prepare, make sure to include cilantro, parsley, and Chia seeds to make it a detox drink. The amazing thing about Touchstone Essentials detox products are that on the days I don't have time to make this drink (or just don't feel like it) I can be assured that I am still doing my daily gentle and effective detox routine! Enjoy! Have a happy and health-filled day! Coach Connie
