Today is the last day of February and the weather in Vancouver WA has decided to be BEAUTIFUL!!!
I ran around all day today with 2 wonderful friends and we went to some of our favorite local spots. First stop was Boomerang, a delightful consignment and coffee shop in Downtown Vancouver. This adorable little shop is located at 8th and Main and is a unique idea. Items are donated or placed on consignment and proceeds go to local non profits. Plus they have yummy coffee and gluten free treats. :)
Next stop was Benny's Cafe for lunch. This place has the best french fries
in the entire world, just saying!! I don't eat fries often so when I do, it is these for sure!!
We then had to hit the post office and bank, but with those two chores out of the way it was on to more fun. Our next stop was Not Too Shabby. This is just what it sounds like, an adorable shop filled with fun stuff that is classy shabby chic, but not too shabby!! Fun candles, clothes, cards, jewelry, and knick knacks galore!!
The second knick knack shop was Vintage Vignette in Hazel Dell. Very much like Not Too Shabby just a little smaller. Very classy and pretty home decor!!
This is my kind of shopping!!
All in all, it was a wonderful day! Ended with a restful tan at Ship Shape Tanning and a quick trip to the groceries store for tomorrow's shared meal. A good bye hug to my two besties and home I go.
Thank you Sabrina Wright and Aryelle Pena, for hanging out with me today. I hope you had someone fun to share your day with today as well. Until next time, have a happy health-filled day!!
A Dirty Little Secret About Network Marketers is that they are incredible people!!!
Most people involved in Network Marketing are involved because, yes, we want to be self employed and earn money, but the draw to do it this way is first and foremost because it is about PEOPLE!
You have to love people to be in this business. Then you have to connect with your own passion. Then you have to be patient while you work to find people kinda like yourself.
I want to share a list of what I think MOST people that are network marketers are like.
Most of us say yes when we mean yes, and no when we mean no.
Most of us make appointments and are on time.
Most of us care more about you then ourselves.
Most of us are not pushy.
Most of us are consistent.
Most of us are dependable.
Most of us have a list of fears, but choose to face them.
Most of us understand that this is not a get rich quick scheme, and therefore, are patient.
Most of us care deeply about the company and products we have chosen and want to share them with you.
I know that some people have the idea the network marketing is kinda slimy. But, there are a bunch of us that want to redeem it and do our part to bring integrity back to this amazing way of doing business!
We are so happy that we made the choice a little over a year ago to reengage in this business. We wouldn't have though, if we hadn't found a company we could believe in first. Yes, we fell in love with the products because they literally changed my life and we could have just been customers. But, we got to meet and get to know the vision and mission of Mr. Eddie Stone, his team, and his family and that sealed the deal!
Most of us want to be a part of something that can make a difference. Finding the right people to lock arms with and work hard with, is a true blessing.
If you have ever considered being in business for yourself but not by yourself, have an interest in making the world a healthier place, understand the power of "timing", and want to know more. Now might be your time. Time to write your own story. Time to make a difference. We are here to help YOU!!

I have always respected the network marketing model and always found it very confusing that others did not. Recently I have discovered A Dirty Little Secret to why this might be true.
The last few days have been very telling for me! I have had several conversations with people that are advertising what they do on Facebook. I have reached out to many of them with honest curiosity about their offerings. As long as there is interest on my part about their offerings, they are friendly, engaging, and helpful. As soon as I suggest some reciprocity in looking at my offerings, things take a turn. Let me explain.......
Most of the posts on Facebook that I am talking about are people advertising intangible things like coaching, lead building, and motivational topics. I have been considering paying for some training in these areas. So I have been reaching out to coaches, teachers, and motivational speakers to see which programs might be the best fit for our team.
These are some of the responses I have heard.
One person posts regular copies of their earnings. This individual sells a program, not a product. I looked at this program and found that what they sell is already available to us through our upline. So, when I explained that, with my thanks for sharing all they had with me, and suggested a look at my products, I got lots of avoidance from someone who was "on it" when I was looking at their stuff. This person's personal posts are about adventures and healthy eating , not to mention financial success, so I thought affordability of our products would not be an issue and I really think our products are a good fit.
Another encounter was particularly troubling because I had bought one of their products. I attended a FREE seminar understanding that these free offerings are lead ins to discovering what is for sale. I went with an open mind, enjoyed the seminar and purchased an hour consult for a later date. I enjoyed the hour and actually got some useful information. This coach encouraged me to seek some of what I needed from my upline, because that really is one of the benefits of network marketing. However, I was encouraged to purchase the year long offering for $10,000.00 with the encouragement of specific and one-on-one attention that, "in the past has helped other network marketers rank advance and produced tremendous team growth".
That sounded like a positive response to network marketing to me. It boiled down to affordability for me and that I was better equipped to ask my upline for what I needed. That seemed to be well understood and actually encouraged. I have since engaged with this person on Facebook and asked if there might be an opportunity for me to share my products with someone for some feedback and the response shocked me! "I am not interested in network marketing products". What?
Everyone is networking at some level but it seems if you have an actual product, you are somehow less legitimate. I do understand that tons and tons of inferior or duplicated products have flooded the waters of network marketing, but talk about throwing the baby out with the bath!! What about those legitimately superior products that true network marketers are offering?
I am just sad about the fact that some of us with PRODUCTS that truly can change the world are over shadowed by program promoters trying to convince us that their program is the only way to sell our PRODUCTS. In the flurry of all of this, the focus on what the world really needs is missed.
The Dirty Little Secret about Network Marketers is a lack of integrity in what to market!! All of the hype and talk about money has taken away from the power of moving quality products!
After all, are your cabinets and closets filled with programs or products? Quality products being sold is what makes our world work. You know me well enough by now to know that I don't just mean "stuff", I mean quality products that really do improve and empower our lives.
So one day at a time and one person at a time, I will share the goodness of Touchstone Essentials. These are products needed by anyone looking for better health. This graphic was posted on Facebook today and it really got my attention! Thank you Dr. Laura dot com!!
I'm not sure this is very clear when it's happening. And I don't think it would have gotten my attention except for a recent encounter I had about this very thing.
If this is relevant for you, I think the example I am going to share will help you see it.
Several years ago I spent a lot of time researching the heck out of supplements and vitamins. The result of this research ultimately determined what I would purchase and consume to try and get my health back. I ended up taking 48 different pills and capsules a day!!
I can't stress enough that I did not take this endeavor lightly.
I was desperate and committed to at least trying to heal some very broken systems in my body. Then I took it a step further and recommended many of the supplements I had decided to use to all of the students taking my Health and Wellness courses! Many of them were desperate to positively impact some of their health concerns as well. They were learning a lot about what to eat, how to make self care a priority, how to detox, and how to make small changes for big results. Everyone was seeing results from my suggestions so why wouldn't they trust my supplement recommendations?
When I was introduced to Touchstone Essentials about a year and a half ago, the education they provide about supplementing turned my world upside down. My initial reaction was not very pleasant or irenic. Honestly, I was angry. I wasn't sure who to be angry with, but I was angry. Should I be angry at Touchstone Essentials? Should I be angry with myself? What was the appropriate direction to point this anger?
Touchstone Essentials was simply the messenger. They were providing information about how supplements are really made. Information that is out there if you know where to look. I obviously did not. Somehow though, it felt like they were telling me that I was dumb! That I had made some huge mistakes in spite of my tireless researching. Believing them and buying their supplements required admitting that I had made a mistake.
I struggled with being angry at myself for a little while. This anger was because I felt like I really did drop the ball. As soon as I figured out that staying angry at myself would make things worse, not better, I allowed my anger to be properly placed. I was clearly angry at the lies that exist in this industry. The labeling laws for supplements and vitamins lacks integrity and transparency and we are the victims!
When I started sharing this truth, that changed my life, with others, I saw some similar responses. I had forgotten my initial reaction and the way people responded to me confused me. But I get it! Clinging to something we have worked hard to know is very hard to let go of.
If I had decided to "cling to a mistake just because I spent a lot of time making it", I would not have thrown all of those toxic supplements in the trash and discovered healing that can come from proper supplementing.
Please consider the things in your life that might fall into this category. We certainly want to be a resource for you if you currently take supplements. Click here to get a list of the most common toxins in supplements and let's see if Touchstone Essentials might be right for you. We can help you sort through the confusing world of supplements and help you regain the power you need to take control of your health.
Do some research for yourself at www.warrenandconnie.com then send us an email with any questions you might have. Thanks to Touchstone Essentials, we now know that "Purity is Possible" and "Everyone Deserves the Good Inside"!!
Have a happy health-filled day!
The name of my website is Change With Connie and I recently got asked, "Change what?"
Change is a big word, so let's explore it a little!
Over the last 16 months, we have gone through a ton of change ourselves, me mostly! From sick, to so much better!
As a couple and even as a family, we have seen quite a bit of change, as well.
My husband's counseling practice has exploded, which is good, but at the same time kinda sad. So many people need so much help!
Our children are all settled in other states and they are very happy. We are happy for them, but we also miss them, Our youngest daughter got married--and that's a super exciting change!
There has been change in our business as well, and that's the change I want this website to focus on. Our goal from the beginning has been to be agents of positive change for people.
We know that many people need to change their health. Either from very sick to well or from, "just not feeling that great" to "feeling great"!
We also know that people often desire a change in their lifestyle. To go from having a job you really don't enjoy or maybe dread, to being involved with something you can feel really good about, is a big deal.
We also know that most people could use a little change in their finances today!
These 3 reasons are why we do what we do! Since our involvement with Touchstone Essentials, these 3 areas have seen tremendous positive change, not only for us, but for the people that have joined out team.
Let me share some of these successes with you!
First, some positive health changes:
Now for some positive lifestyle changes:
We are building a team of like-minded people. We have been able to travel quite a bit more because sharing and caring is our "job" and we can do that everywhere. Because of the improvements in our health, we are more active and engaged.
Many of our team members are moms of young children and they are finding it so simple to share the power of what we are doing with their friends. It's a simple as, "I found this. Take a look at this video and let me know if it might benefit you and your family. I'll give you a call tomorrow to see what you think."
Here are some of the things we are hearing from people that get involved.
Such a sense of belonging. A real sense of being supported. Truly making a difference. Having a positive impact in our community. Confidence and boldness in sharing truth about health and wellness, Having people over to share this with is FUN!
Last, but certainly not least, a few positive financial changes:
Like I said above, we are prospering enough to travel quite a bit more. In fact, going to Hawaii for our daughter's wedding wasn't a problem at all!! We have made enough money to pay off 5, yes 5, credit cards! We are currently putting aside money monthly for a trip to Bora Bora to celebrate my husband and my son-in-law's birhtdays in 2016. Not to mention, we make enough each month from our residual income to cover the cost of us taking all of the amazing Touchstone Essentials products, which is why our health and energy are so improved!! Talk about a win-win!!
We aren't the only ones. Most of the active members on our team make enough to cover their monthly products. At our last area event one of the gals shared that she has gotten a check each and every month since joining Touchstone Essentials. That made several others realize that was true for them as well. That's pretty amazing!
What changes would you like to see in your life?
Does your health, or the health of someone you care about, need help? Are you open to learning the truth about how our bodies are designed to be self-healing if given the right "stuff" to do so?
Could your lifestyle use a little make-over? Have you always wanted to make a difference? Or, have you always wanted to be part of something bigger than just doing a job? Are you concerned with some of the things happening in our world that are having a negative affect on people everywhere? Would you like to be a part of the solution?
How about a little boost in your finances? Would you like to travel a little more than you are now? Could you use some extra income? Maybe to pay off some credit cards, buy a new car, have products that truly help your health paid for each month, or simply have a little extra to dote on your grandchildren!! Whatever help a little extra cash could be for you each month, we would love the opportunity to show you how to make that happen.
Don't let change be scary anymore! Let us show you how you can simply add the Touchstone Essentials model to your life, either part-time or gung ho (like us) and see the positive effects from it! If anything you read here, speaks to any part of you and your heart's desires, take the first step now!!

Until then, have a happy health-filled day!
Once you know this stuff, you won't be able to un-know it! Trust me though, you need to know it!
For the last year I have been trying to open the proverbial Pandora's Box in the world of supplements, knowing that once it is opened things would never be the same. Well, I have been working feverishly for the last year and today something hit the news that I believe will be the beginning of the opening of one such Pandora's Box.
You probably heard the news I am referring to on Facebook, local, and national news today (read the article here).
Walgreens, WalMart, GNC and Target were all hit by the New York attorney general's office for selling bogus products. They found that many of these stores' name-brand herbal supplements are not what they say they are... Full of fillers and junk and possible allergens that could be quite dangerous for some people.
I know this is an isolated incident with store brands, but I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg. What you are going to learn in today's blog about what is being sold to us will turn what you know about supplements upside down. It certainly did for us a little over a year ago.
Once we discovered the truth about the nutrient deficiency in our food supply, we knew that we needed to supplement our diets with vitamins and minerals that are no longer available in food (even lacking in some organic foods). So, we began our homework and due-diligence with supplements.
Our primary goal was to find the highest quality, (mostly?) whole-food supplements that we possibly could. It was an overwhelming task that ended with a basket full of bottles. At one point I was taking close to 50 pills and/or capsules per day!
I was quite sick when I started supplementing and wondered when I would start feeling better (you can see the video beginning here). I never did.
Now, I understand why. It turns out that all of the supplements we had so diligently researched before purchasing were actually full of toxins! So, here I thought I was fortifying my diet with needed vitamins and minerals, but, instead, I was simply filling my system with toxins and absolutely no bio-available nutrients at all!!
I didn't know any of this until we met Eddie Stone, the founder and CEO of Touchstone Essentials. Eddie Stone started this company because, on his hunt for supplements for his own family, he found nothing but products full of these toxins.
The easiest way to explain all of this at this point is for you to click right here and print the report that pops up. This is a list of the most common ingredients in 98% of the supplements available today. This list will expose to you what these ingredients really are. So go ahead, click the link above, gather your own supplements come back, and we will continue (I'll wait).
If you are like me, you may be reading some of these ingredients and thinking, "These are just the scientific or technical names for vitamins and minerals; words I simply don't know because I'm not that smart." The list you printed or are looking at should make it very clear to you , like it did me, that these are not just technical words but words that hide the truth. Words that don't adequately describe what I am (and you are) putting into my body.
Words like cholecalciferol for vitamin D, which is actually irradiated lamb's wool.
Words like cyanocobalamin for vitamin B12, which is actually activated charcoal reacted with cyanide.
Words like ascorbic acid for vitamin C, which is made from fermented gmo corn, hydrochloric acid and acetone.
I was dumbfounded when I learned this stuff! How could this be allowed?
Even brands that doctors and naturopaths recommend to us have these toxic ingredients in them.
Turns out this industry is one of the most corrupt industries out there. With millions of people spending billions of dollars trying to improve their health, greed took over.
Like I said, I think this is the tip of the iceberg and I am ready! I want to be to the supplement world what the Food Babe is to exposing lies about so-called healthy food!
I know this is a long blog that may have created more questions than answers for you, so please feel free to comment or ask your questions below and we will do our best to help you sort through it all.
It's time! Are you ready?
I love movies. I love finding incredible ones that move me. Either to laughter or to tears. Both have the ability to impact profoundly.
The other day I was watching an older movie that I know I had seen before but didn't really remember. The movie was "The Guardian". One of the early scenes is of all the new recruits in a swimming pool. Kevin Costner is the record holder for swim rescues with the Coast Guard and he has been given an ultimatum, quit or teach. He agrees to teach this new group and he says something to them that is very powerful to me.
He told them that the attrition rate for this field is more than 50%. He then told them what to expect if they do indeed make it. He said, "You will make very little money and most likely die alone in very cold water trying to save someone else!" There's some real motivation to keep going, right?!!
Wow, this is powerful to me for several reasons. First, it reminds me of my early days in retail. I worked for a national woman's clothing chain. I started as part-time sales and quickly worked up to being a District Manager with 8-12 stores at any given time. When I first started I remember thinking, "This is so much fun and oh yeah, I get a pay check each Friday!" I really enjoyed what I was doing and the money was secondary.
Then when Warren and I got married and started our ministry, we quickly found out that what we were doing was helping lots of people and many had very limited finances. When people could pay for our help, we were delighted. However, our constant delight was in the helping.
We are now involved in an industry with similar attrition to the Coast Guard rescue swimmers. Many people get involved in a direct sales company or network marketing venture only to find that it doesn't happen easily enough or quickly enough for them and they end up quitting.
Even though we believe that with a long-term commitment, there is serious money to be made in network marketing, many get to the place of feeling like they are alone in very cold water.
Doing something with a goal outside of your own personal success or profit is truly the only way to stick with something through the tough times. If a Coast Guard rescue swimmer loses focus of his goal, he will quickly feel the extremely cold water, realize the incredible storm raging, and grow fearful for his own safety. Focusing on helping the other person is the only thing to keep him going!
Are you involved with something that you really believe in? Are you involved with something that you see as important? Are you involved with something that you would continue with even if you made NO money?
If you have the right heart and motive to be involved with something bigger than yourself, it's simply a matter of finding some folks to partner with. Find a coach to help you through the cold, dark, lonely waters. Someone that has struggled through themselves and found their reason to keep going!
We have found Eddie and Maria Stone with Touchstone Essentials. If you are interested in health and wellness but really need to navigate through all that is out there, we can help.
